Technology Mission Statement

Online Learning Module

My BitMoji classroom that is also linked to my google classroom was created for an assignment that asked to create an online learning module. My online learning module is based off of a social studies lesson plan that would span over the course of the week. In my classroom both google and BitMoji I have included class resources and materials needed to be a successful online module.

Reflection: This artifact demonstrates my ability to design and implement learning experiences that are engaging and provide positive models for students. The material is differentiated and has many engaging elements. It shows that I have considered how to create online learning modules that are as enriching as in person lessons, and provide students with many modes of learning. I also demonstrated the ability to use tools of technology to enrich online learning and create a virtual classroom.

Digital Choice Board

This assignment was to use online tools and apply them to learning, and how to include them in a classroom. The first tool I used was Book Creator, and I included this is one of my social studies lesson plans to include technology as part of a differentiated product. The book is partly made by me the teacher and would be finished my the students supporting the learning about being a great community member. The second tool I used was a google presentation with the PearDeck enhancement. PearDeck allows me to put in questions and check points in the presentation to check in with students learning, and do small formative assessments on what is being taught. The third tool I used was a Padlet for students who did not want to speak up and say their ideas. It also was a great way to get them brainstorming for their project of writing a page for the book made with book creator.

Reflection: This artifact demonstrates my ability to use technology and online tools to design engaging material. It also shows my ability to take a lesson plan and add technology to it, to get students more actively engaging in technology as well as giving them practice using it in a safe environment. It shows my ability to also improve learning by using tools of technology to differentiate learning and products of learning. I feel this shows that I am ready to consider the learning of my students and how technology can be used to improve learning and further engage students.
