In my significant writing project I demonstrate my ability to use and follow the current MLA format correctly. Whenever citing a source I make sure to use the correct MLA citation as seen in my essay’s final draft. Whenever I have paraphrased, summarized, or quoted another source without already introducing the author in the same sentence then I make sure to include the last name in parentheses, since I always use online sources and that is the correct format for MLA in-text citations. I also show ability to make local revisions with MLA standards in mind in the different uses of coma’s and language between my first and final draft. Another large component of MLA guidelines is paper organization such as proper headers, titles, spacing and font and the works cited page. My works cited page is a clear demonstration of my ability to follow and understand MLA format as each citation was completed following the guidelines. In my significant writing project I demonstrate the ability to document work using appropriate MLA conventions and my ability to control sentence-level error such as grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
