One of the areas from the rubric that provided me with the greatest learning opportunity was clearly introducing the involved materials and pertinent voices. I was never taught to directly introduce sources so this is something very new to me and was interesting to learn. This was something I felt very awkward doing and pushed me to go outside my comfort zone. Another area that provided me with a learning opportunity was does your position have clear boundaries and purpose. For me this was important to really look at because I have noticed I sometimes add extra information I don’t need. I have realized that I need to make sure there are very specific boundaries to stay within. This will help direct my arguments more and create a clear purpose. Another point that provided me with a lot of learning opportunities was “does your paper follow a logical path”. This really made me look at my paper with fresh eyes and change around the structure. After really looking at the organization and only focusing on that for an entire read I was able to make the paper flow in a logical and clear path. Lastly the point about making ideas front and center also provided me with a learning opportunity. In some paragraphs I have noticed I go off on tangents and sometimes my ideas get buried under information not pertinent to my main arguments.
