Blog #12

In my new paper I am trying to introduce all my sources clearly without being nervous or feeling awkward to do so. I also am trying to work on my topic and transition sentences, making them clear and strong. With my revisions I plan to take each paragraph at a time to read out loud and review any comments made on it from my peer review. I will then copy and paste it into my new draft and finalize the paragraph. My goals for revisions is to not get overwhelmed with changes and take my time to really review each paragraph. I want to make sure topic and transition sentences are clear and in the right spot for each paragraph.

  1. Print out pdf with peer review comments
  2. Go through each paragraph individually and make any necessary changes marking off what comments I have addressed as I go on the physical copy. This is to insure I have looked at every comment and considered changes.
  3. Solidify each paragraph and identify topic and transition sentences
  4. Read my paper aloud to make sure it flows

I see one of my biggest challenges being keeping all my different thoughts and possible changes organized. In order to combat this article I print paper copies of my paper to make personal edits and read to myself. This helps me keep my thoughts organized and the suggestions of change in one place. I plan to meet with Sara if I feel I am struggling with the organization of my paper and will reach out to make a meeting if I need too. I have also been using our two class textbooks to help give me ideas on how to introduce quotes as well as looking at the barclay paragraph handout.
